How do I use it?

Lutra works with natural language, the way that you would communicate with a colleague. Here is an actual prompt that you could give Lutra:

 I have a google sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<replace with google sheet id>/edit#gid=0

For each company domain, go to the website and:
Extract the company name and company social links.
Summarize what the company does.
Update the columns accordingly.
Fill out each row as you process data before moving on to the next row.”

That’s it!

How does it work?

Lutra can read the web like a human does. It can work with almost any website because you don’t have to pre-program it to work with a specific type of formatting or structure. Lutra figures it out! It’s also smart enough to understand context and only extract the relevant information or to re-summarize it in a way that is relevant for you. 

Once it has the information that you want, it can automatically add it to the appropriate field in your CRM. Some of Lutra’s current integrations are Airtable, Hubspot, Google Sheets, Affinity. If you use a different CRM that isn’t already integrated, simply let us know and we can set it up very, very, fast (Lutra helps us with that too)!

What else can Lutra do?

Reading the web and working with CRMs is only a tiny glimpse of what Lutra can do. The only true limitation is your imagination. Lutra can work with all kinds of inputs and outputs: websites, CRM fields, spreadsheets, PDFs, PowerPoints, etc. 

We are regularly amazed by the workflows that our customers are sharing with us.

What can Lutra not do?

It’s hard to say what Lutra cannot do because its capabilities are increasing every single day. We are a very strong technical team, with a clear vision, that has spent the necessary time to build the architecture that allows us to iterate at lightning speed. The example use case above and variations on it work really well. But once our customers see how powerful it is they tend to get really ambitious. If you tell Lutra to “make me a billion dollars”, it can’t do that for you, yet. How safe is it?

Lutra processes data during workflow executions without retaining it long-term after the process is complete. For example, Lutra might read from a Google spreadsheet, process the data, and then save the processed outputs back to Google Drive. We do not store or have access to your confidential data.

To assist with debugging and analysis, Lutra creates temporary logs retained for only 30 days. Enterprise customers may opt for custom retention policies.

We are in the final stages of our SOC2 Type 2 audit and expect to receive certification by the end of June.
